This module was conducted on two projects which is project one and project 2. In project 1, a group project, we need to form a group with 4-5 members and analyse and present three case studies of heritage conservation projects of a small to medium-sized building. After doing project 1, I understand the basic principles and concepts of heritage conservation and documentation. Next, I understood the heritage conservation and management process by finishing project 1, which included two assignments, group and individual tasks. Moreover, Project 2 is an individual project that needs to prepare a heritage and conservation proposal report on the Textile Museum Sarawak, and the proposal report shall refer to ICOMOS Charter - Principles for the Analysis Conservation and Structural Restoration of Architectural Heritage – 2003 document and the Jabatan Warisan Negara guideline (Garis Panduan Pemuliharaan Bangunan Warisan 2016). From this project, I will be able to identify the fundamental principles and theories that have shaped the practices and problems in the area of heritage and conservation and learnt various methods of heritage conservation practice.
