There will be formative and summative assessments in this module comprising of an assignment, test and case study.

Self-Reflection

From this module, I understand that as an architect we need to understand diversity of environment status before we start build our building such as wind rose, wind speed, climate and so on. From those this things we can save more cost of energy and avoid pollution to our environment such as we can use passive design and techniques to make sure our space are achieve the thermal comfort and compile with MS1525. In this module , we have an assignment that is a group work which need 4 members to do some investigate about the space. In this assignment, I know how to identify passive design strategies for shading and lighting. Beside that, we also understand how to analyze the effect of thermal comfort in a person and in a space relating to shading and lighting. We do the criticize design of the space in terms of thermal comfort by referring to MS1525, UBBL and GBI after all the data collected. Other than that, we also give some suggestion about the passive solutions for shading and lighting after we do all the analysis.
